Head Gardener

Our client is recruiting for a full time Gardener to maintain recently landscapes grounds at a new housing development in North London. Prior experience in garden maintenance is required with a good understanding of horticultural best practice and previous experience with garden maintenance machinery. This is for a solo gardener, although this will potentially grow as the development gets bigger. Providing the opportunity for the role to grow into a team leader position. There is the opportunity to work with our other landscape teams on small projects and some occasional over time required. 

Duties include grass and hedge cutting, shrub bed maintenance, leaf clearance, weed control of hard surfaces and litter-picking. There will also be waterway management, swimming pool and water feature management. Additional training will be provided.

Skills and experiences:

  • Spraying Certificates â?? NPTC PA1 &PA6 desired
  • 1 - 2 yearsâ?? Experience in Landscaping / Grounds Maintenance
  • Good horticultural knowledge including plant identification
  • Driving Licence is desirable
