Our Surrey-based clients are one of Londonâ??s leading landscape contractors, offering a complete garden service, managing the whole garden construction from the designerâ??s initial concept plan to the completion of the fully planted and landscaped garden. Once created, the companyâ??s maintenance division expertly maintains the prestigious gardens to ensure they always look their best.

We require a highly self-motivated person with good horticultural knowledge who is capable of working on their own initiative and in collaboration with the maintenance supervisor to maintain top-end gardens. The role periodically involves driving from site to site and applicants must therefore have a full, clean driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.

Skills required:

• Good horticultural knowledge
• Ability to diagnose pests and diseases
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and water features
• Ability to deal with clients professionally and diplomatically
• Ability to act pro-actively in ensuring all gardens stay well maintained
• Confident driving skills, ideally with experience driving in London

Experience:

• Proven maintenance record of high-quality gardens

Main duties:

• Carrying out general garden maintenance, including mowing, pruning and mulching
• Tree and shrub planting
• Careful monitoring of watering and irrigation systems
• Encouraging the development of new plants
• Following set procedures on Health and Safety, working practices and reporting all
• issues to do with the well-being of the clientâ??s gardens
