Garden Maintenance Manager

Our client deals with all aspects of plant and garden design and maintenance: from a new London private garden to a boardroom plant display, a fresh new central London roof terrace or a revamp of an existing garden. With a wealth of experience, they have established a reputation for innovative planting schemes, slick design and reliable and efficient service. They are now looking for a Garden Maintenance Manager to manage their team in North West London.

Job Specification

• This position would suit someone with extensive hands-on experience both in horticulture and in team management
• Tasked with organising a busy (and frequently changing) schedule of weekly maintenance visits and liaising daily with private house managers, high net-worth individuals and front-of-house managers at some of Londonâ??s most exclusive properties
• You will be required to produce weekly schedules (including covering holiday and sickness)
• Supervising, motivating and leading staff in the provision of a top-quality garden maintenance service
• Your role will involve issuing and managing instructions, monitoring performance and standards and coordinating operatives, plant, vehicles and tools to ensure that the right people are in the right place at the right time with the right tools to perform our services to the highest possible standard

Person Specification

• Must have considerable experience of working in gardens with plants
• Full Clean UK driving licence is essential
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Team player
• Must be Hort qualified
• Well presented
• Have excellent plant knowledge
