As Green Team Supervisor you will be responsible for leading and training a team of trainee landscape gardeners and grounds maintenance operatives at various sites in the West London Area.

Identifying, planning, managing and delivering a diverse programme of hard and soft landscaping projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train and manage a team of trainees undertaking hard and soft landscaping improvement projects throughout the operational area. Maintain relationships with local training providers, landowners and employers to meet the aims of the programme.
  • Maintain the programmesâ?? systems and procedures by which the Trust will be able to manage training initiatives successfully.
  • Dependant on funding, deliver NVQ training courses and assess traineesâ?? progress in the achievement of these awards.
  • Supervise trainees on projects and external work experience and ensure trainee and programme compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • With the assistance of other Trust project staff identify environmental projects that are suitable for delivering trainee work, opportunities and activities to develop and enhance the skills and experience of the trainees.
  • Ensure projects are adequately resources with materials, tools, staff resources & etc.
  • Work with partners to ensure projects are completed to a high quality, delivered on time and within budget. 
  • Deliver open space environment training courses, and formally assess the development, skills, and progress of the participants in the achievement of their NVQ awards.
  • Assist and support trainees to formulate Personal Development Plans (PDPs
  • Maintain complete and accurate internal computerised and manual management information systems

Person Specification

  • Hort qualification
  • NVQ Assessor qualification
  • Both Hard and soft landscaping experience
  • Driver
  • Applicant will require to have a DBS or happy to have one done
