Our longstanding client has a full time position available at their nursery in Berkshire. They have 2 senior Growers and seek a trainee to join the team.

The company provide plants and props to the film, television and events industry. They are looking for a hard working individual to join their team of enthusiastic and successful horticulturalists. You will need a keen interest in Tropical, Indigneous and Mederteranian plants and a desire to learn and develope your knowledge in this area.

Duties will include:

  • Unloading deliveries
  • Assisting with Stock control of consumables
  • Ensuring safe practice in relation to all aspects of the nursery functions
  • Assisting with Quality control
  • Assisting with storage, maintenance and repair of prop stock
  • Ensuring that the nursery is kept tidy at all times
  • Planting, watering, maintaining nursery stock
  • Cleaning and maintaning the nursery

Requirements:

  • Horticulture focused qualification
  • Physically fit and strong
  • Practical minded
  • Meticulous in attention to detail
  • 'can do' attitude
  • Self motivated
  • Work under pressure

Ideally:

  • Background working with plants & landscaping
  • Nursery experience
  • Nursery machinery experience

Hours of work:

  • Full time: Mon-Fri, 07:00 - 16:30
