Our longstanding client has a full time position available at their nursery in Berkshire. They have 2 senior Growers and seek a trainee to join the team.
The company provide plants and props to the film, television and events industry. They are looking for a hard working individual to join their team of enthusiastic and successful horticulturalists. You will need a keen interest in Tropical, Indigneous and Mederteranian plants and a desire to learn and develope your knowledge in this area.
Duties will include:
- Unloading deliveries
- Assisting with Stock control of consumables
- Ensuring safe practice in relation to all aspects of the nursery functions
- Assisting with Quality control
- Assisting with storage, maintenance and repair of prop stock
- Ensuring that the nursery is kept tidy at all times
- Planting, watering, maintaining nursery stock
- Cleaning and maintaning the nursery
Requirements:
- Horticulture focused qualification
- Physically fit and strong
- Practical minded
- Meticulous in attention to detail
- 'can do' attitude
- Self motivated
- Work under pressure
Ideally:
- Background working with plants & landscaping
- Nursery experience
- Nursery machinery experience
Hours of work:
- Full time: Mon-Fri, 07:00 - 16:30
