Our North London-based client is looking for an Assistant Head Gardener to join their existing team.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Essential:

  •       An in-depth and wide-ranging understanding of horticulture including plant science, cultivation, design, hard landscaping and light machinery operation.
  •          Garden maintenance experience â?? weeding, mowing, pruning etc.
  •          Excellent organisational and prioritising skills.
  •          Flexibility and adaptability.
  •          Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  •          Team-playing attitude.
  •          Health and Safety compliance.
  •          An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints.

Desirable:

  •          IT and computer literate.
  •         Level 2/Level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Horticulture.
  •          PA1/PA6 spraying certificates.
  •          Experience of water gardening and pond maintenance.
  •          Arboricultural experience and possession of relevant licences (CS30, CS31 etc).
  •          Turf management experience.
  •          Experience of large equipment such as tractors and associated attachments.
  •          Excavator/digger licence.
  •          Garden Design qualification and/or experience.
