Our client seeks a Landscape Estimator to join their dynamic team based in South West London.

You will be responsible for gathering information and analysing metrics to prepare correct and accurate estimates for proposed projects.

This is a predominantly office based role, located in a fantastic office space.

You will be accountable to the Construction Manager and Financial Controller. Working closely with Finance, and Construction team.

You will require:

Robust, Blueprint Reading Skills, together with the ability to see the bigger picture and interpret requirements.

Analytical ability with landscaping field experience and proficiency in articulating and extracting the most important information under pressure.

Persistence in requiring accurate costs, whilst maintaining deadlines in line with the commercial calendar.

 

  • Calculate the costs of projects, delivering risk-managed, fully compliant tender submissions.
  • Together with the Quantity Surveyor; Maintain the company database/ library to facilitate information and documentation tracking and look up regarding rates, benchmarking, contracts, suppliers, etc.
  • Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour, and equipment.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors.
  • Getting quotes from suppliers within a specified time frame.
  • Assessing and reporting on the risk levels associated with a project.
  • Preparing estimates for time, cost, material and labour.
  • Preparation and collation of budget costs for potential new clients.
  • Monitoring the costs at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs.
  • Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour and equipment.
  • Creating broad-brush programmes for tendering.
  • Comply with ISO standards.

  • Previous experience in landscaping and construction an advantage.
